Southern Charm: Part 2

As promised, here is the second post on our trip to Savannah. The shopping was wonderful! This first shop caught my eye as you can tell from the store name. This shop is on Broughton Street in downtown Savannah. It was so cute inside. It was of mix of old and new treasures and lots of hand made goodies. Our kind of store.
Not only were the goods for sale eye candy, but the old building just added to the overall charm. I didn't want to leave. I did shortly after my purchase because I was wearing out my welcoming taking all the photos.I did treat myself to something while I was in this store. This cute ring with a crown. It was handmade by an Artist from New York.

The next spot we found was on the same street. It is called The Paris Market & Brocante. This building with all of the tall windows was wonderful. It is painted this lovely teal color and has bistro tables outside to enjoy a latte or baked treat from their coffee bar. The shop was filled with old and new items, with a Parisian theme. Just fantastic. I did buy a Mother's Day card here that I will share with you at another time.
This is such and arts and crafty town. There were many more shops that feature the art of local artists. The Savannah School of Art and Design is present all over the city.
This last picture from downtown is an old barber shop. It is so americana and reminds of days gone by.
Day 2: Tybee Island

We spent the second day of our trip on Tybee Island. This is a small island not far from downtown. Here are some pictures of Shelby enjoy the surf and sand with her Daddy.

After getting wet, we walked out onto this great fishing pier to look out over the ocean and out along the shore line.

We also drove past the old lighthouse and keeper's buildings. There is also and old fort there. You can explore both. Before we headed for home, we stopped for lunch as we were leaving Tybee Island. We drove up to a collection of old buildings and shacks and soon reached the Crab Shack. It is an outdoor restaurant on the water. It is a very unique spot as you will notice from the photos.

Here we are under the big crab; Judy, Shelby, Tammy and Don. We had a great time in Savannah and can't wait for our next trip back!
I hope y'all have a good week ahead!
Love,
Tammy

I love Savannah also. We used to go there every year, but I have not been in a couple of years now. I have eaten at the Crab Shack many times, brings back memories. Thanks. I'll stop by and visit again soon.

Me again,
Thanks for stoppin' by me ol blog. We get 'green' wood, and let it dry out all Spring and Summer, so that it's ready for Fall. It's cheaper to buy green.

Did I mention how much I love your beachy photos.
