Trunk or Treat!

Many of the local churches in middle Georgia put on Fall Festivals this time of year or have "Trunk or Treats." The church members donate their time, cars and candy in the church parking lot and the community children get to trunk or treat in a safe environment. Many go all out decorating their trunks and dress up to make it fun for the kids. Don't adjust your screens... the wig is really this color.
Here she is, our little Daphne. As some of you know, Shelby is just crazy about Scooby-Doo. So since seeing this costume, we have been all about dressing up to be Daphne. I will have to say, that she is just too cute in all that hair and NO ONE had a costume remotely close to this get-up. She is just grinning from ear to ear in this costume. I thought she wouldn't keep the wig on all night, but she leaves it on and keeps asking if it looks good. True girl!
I was absolutely surprised by the number of children and parents who knew exactly who she was, both as Daphne and Shelby. She carried her favorite Scooby-Doo bag that Miss Luz made for her and brought home lots of goodies in it. We are expecting rain on Saturday for Halloween so me may not be able to trick or treat. If not, she has at least gotten the chance to wear her costume and get some treats.
Here she is with her school teacher, Ms. Mathews and one of her school mates. They love their teacher. We ran into her at the church last night with her daughter and grand daughter. The kids just took off and practically tackled her when they saw her. It is nice to see them adore her so. Ms. Mathews always makes the biggest fuss over them and hugs them each goodbye each day. I hope all her teachers will be so caring over the years.
I hope you all have a wonderful time with your little spooks, fairies and super heroes this Halloween. I look forward to seeing all your kids in their costume choices this year.

BOO y'all!

Oh how fun!! My kids watch "scooby scoo" all the time, and I'm sure will know her when I show them the post. We're off ot a horse show this afternoon, and Jason will be riding one of the ponies. Then is trick or treating on the barn- the participants decorate a stall and have candy. It should be fun!
