Old and New Favorites

For months I have been searching for the perfect size, shape, color bangle bracelets to use these beautiful metal vintage buttons. I finally found these pretty pale gold and silver square shaped bracelets that where the perfect size. With the help of my hubby's Dremel tool, we were able to drill the right size holes into the top of these lucite bangles. I was able to then sink the shank of the button into the hole and glue the button to the surface. They came out fantastic!
I will be on the hunt for more bracelets. I have several other large vintage metal buttons that I would like to use for them.
This gold bangle has a gold tone metal button with this victorian couple on it. The edging on this button is so pretty. It really sets off the gold bracelet.
I love the old and new elements of these pieces. This bracelet is the palest silver with an old metal button with a flying bird. This one is definitely my favorite. The buttons have been added to the bracelets with the shanks intact so the quality and value of these old buttons have been preserved.

Red, White and Blue....
In preparation of celebrating the 4th, which is right around the corner I made this fun 4th of July Garland.
I am discovering that I am a true paper crafter and that is where I seem to be most happy. The jewelry is so pretty to make but I love the glitter and glue!

I hung this garland for sale at my booth at the Carriage House. Here are the recent photos. It is filling up.
I added some great vintage luncheon linens that are beautifully hand stitched and some of my clothes pin birds.I am really enjoying my little space at the shop. May was my first month and I was really excited that I was able to cover the rent plus have some left over. Not bad for three weeks. June is off and running and I have sold the cute sugar bowl pincushion that I made and a pretty vintage doily. I won't be getting rich, but I am having fun!
Have a great week, my friends!
Tammy

Hi Tammy,
I met you this weekend at the Daylily Festival and thought I would stop by to say hello. I love the bracelets and I can't imagine why you didn't have a booth there. Of course sales weren't great and it was unbearably hot(101-Friday and 100 on Sat--ugh), anyway I am adding you to my list and will stop by often.

Your spirit banner is adorable. Isn't it fun to make things for your shop and sell them? When I had a room at a B & M shop I was always making something or turning a trash into treasure kind of thing and then selling it. I loved it. Nope....I, like you, knew I was never going to get rich doing it but the gratification was wonderful. I loved my crocheted flowers. Heading over to Etsy now to leave feedback. ~ Lynn
