Getting Ready....

It's almost here! My first "Girls Weekend" and art class in my studio. I have been planning this weekend since December. This weekend is all about friendship. This is my way of saying thank you to these special women and to let them know how special they are to me. Meet the girls:Lee Weber. Best friend of 23 years and college roomie. Loyal to the end, true blue, shoulder to cry-on, always makes me laugh, gets me on every level. Lee is emerging as a very talented mixed media artist. Always an inspiration.Luz Foster. Amazing woman, force of nature, caring, sweet, talented. We met in October of 2007 at a Scrapbooking Getaway weekend. Luz reached out via email and stayed in touch. She faithfully blogs and emails and keeps up with me and our friendship.Natalea Kandefer. I was instantly drawn to this wonderful lady. We have blogged, swapped and emailed faithfully for months. She is so sweet and generous and a super talented artist. I am so looking forward to getting to meet her in person finally. Judy Bledsoe. Sister I never had! My Sister in Law, Judy made moving to Georgia easy and helped us get settled in everyway. She is my junking buddy and studio pal. She gets my need for crafting and often surprises me with goodies she finds for my studio or for my booth at the Carriage House. She is the best baker around and loves to scrapbook. My daughter adores her and she is my babysitting life line!
Angela Meeks. I met Angela a year ago at a local arts and craft show where she was selling her amazing creations. We continued to bump into each other and of course found things we have in common. It was awesome to find someone close by who loves to junk hunt, craft and blog. She is the funniest person and her humor is infectious. She makes the most fabulous paper creations. I think I am her best customer at Treasures by the Tracks!Ruth Canfield. (Mom) Always a creative inspiration. I don't think there is any thing that Mom can't do. She is a master crocheter. She is great at sewing, drawing, card making and always creates the prettiest wrappings to gifts she never stops giving! Her greatest gifts were handing down some of her talents to me and being my biggest supporter and friend. Mom is the kindest person you will ever meet and by the time the girls leave they will be calling her Mom, too.

Dawn Edmonson. Dawn will be leading the first art workshop ever in my new studio and to the best bunch of women. Dawn is my newest friend and I am so looking forward to meeting her. Having her a part of this special weekend is like adding the cherry on top of the sundae! I am thrilled that she is joining us the whole weekend. Dawn is a beautiful artist and blogger and it is truly a reflection of her beauty as a person.Gratitude drives me. Each of these woman have touched my life in ways I could have never planned or hoped. I look forward to hugging each one of them next week and thanking them personally for how special they make my life. It will be a moment that I will remember for forever.
