Planning for a "Lady's" Day Out!

Sunday, me and my two friends, Trina and Marla are going to spend the day together in Savannah! We are getting the whole day to ourselves. Needless to say, we are like giggling school girls, just talking about it. The reason for our little road trip is to see Paula Deen! The "Butter Queen" is going to be hosting a brunch at the end of the Savannah Book Festival and will be there to sign her books and to meet and greet! We will be having brunch prepared by her restaurant "Lady and Sons" in Telfair Square in the city. We are very excited to meet her and have brunch. We gathered this morning to plan out our little road trip; who was driving, what to wear, what time to leave, etc. So we met in style this morning and treated ourselves to a breakfast that Paula Deen would approve of.While our little ones were off at school this morning, we stole some time together at my house. Trina and Marla each brought some goodies to have along with my breakfast casserole.
Trina made these yummy pigs in a blanket. These were delish!!
Marla brought these pretty yogurt parfaits. They had loads of strawberries and blueberries in them topped with whipped cream and candy hearts. They were tucked into a lucite tray surrounded by shredded paper. A feast for the eyes and mouth!
We had the best breakfast and chat and made our plans to leave on 6:30 Sunday morning. Right now, the forcast calls for sunny skies and 67 degree weather. Sounds like it will be the perfect day. Wish me luck that I can get Paula to pose for a picture with us. I will let you know all about the day and share my pictures of Savannah.
Time to clean up the kitchen. At least I won't need to eat lunch today!

Hey Tammy, I just wanted to thank you for asking me out(hehe) last Friday! My first trip to Starbucks was wonderful(great hot chocolate) and antiquing was so much fun. I went back on Sat. to pick up my table and found myself looking for things for you. I tend to do that once I know what someone's taste is so who knows I may find you the perfect item. Let's plan another "play-date" soon and we'll have to hit Byron next. I have the spools you wanted-let me know when you need them, I will be going to Gray next week one day. Thanks again and have a wonderful time in Savannah!!
