A Love Remembered

This crystal heart brooch is a family heirloom that my Mother gave to my keeping sometime this past year. This belonged to my Great Grandmother. It was given to her by my Great Grandfather on their 50th Wedding Anniversary December 24, 1962.
It is amazing to think of them being married back in 1912. I never got to meet my Great Grandfather because he past before I was born. My Great Grandmother was a fiesty, hard working German woman and lived into her 80's. I have seen pictures of them together and they were very cute together. Being married for 50 years is so outstanding and to recieve this gift must have been very special to her. I wear this brooch often and remember the love between the two people in which it passed.
I hope you get to spend sometime today with your special love and have a very Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Oh the brooch is so pretty! I know it means so much to you as I have a few things that were my grandmothers. Love is great! Sad that some people don't share the love with others. I feel like Valentines is not with just a honey either it's with all family and friends...Happy V-Day my friend!

The brooch is just beautiful and I know it must mean so much to you. My in-laws were married for 65 years. He passed away on Valentine's Day last year. It has been so hard on my mother-in-law. I cannot imagine spending that much of your life with someone and then they are just gone.

I am blessed to have little treasures that belonged to my grandparents and parents. I wouldn't trade them for a million dollars.
