My Best Friend is Published!!

Lee has had some fortune shine upon her and her lovely artwork recently! She and a group of women participated in a Valentine Book Swap last year and Somerset got a hold of them and developed an entire publication just to showcase these lovely works of art. They called it Somerset in Love. This is such a gorgeous collection of Valentine and love themed pages. I have included all of Lee's pages and artwork here for you to enjoy. I am so PROUD of her! It takes guts to jump into a well established group of artists like this bunch. Her work really stands out among this group and is uniquely, Lee!Lee shared this layout with me last year and it still is my favorite. Who doesn't love champagne? Somerset did fail to really capture the true creativity of this piece. The dress was made of tulle and fabric with a heart peeking out from underneath. The champagne bottle was the best of all. She added ribbons to the bottle to look like flowing bubbles of champagne. Just awesome.Lee's artwork always tells a story. I think it is the writer in her always trying to get out. This new bride is actually in a straight jacket relating her sense of being trapped or maybe showing that she is tied to this man she may hardly know. If you look at the center of the page there is a small bottle of glitter and a label that says "Love Potion No.9" Lee had sent one to each participant during the swap and they are featured on almost every page of this book! This layout is such a sweet piece. This was the last of Lee's layouts that they featured, except for her book cover.Lee got to write a short article talking about her involvement in the swap as well as her artwork. At the end of the publication, they did a Meet the Artist section and here she is! This is her moment and her artwork and the Love actually mentions me, her BFF! Can't believe it. Actually I can. That's the kind of friend she is! Go visit Lee at Weber's World, The Way I see It and congratulate her on her accomplishment and all of her awesome artwork!
Great Job, Buddy! You are my inspiration!

If you get a chance check out Robot Nine, today I posted Mark Khaiman and his cool art made of packing tape on plexiglass. Unbelievable, lots of positive comments already.
