Fall Fun

It was a beautiful Fall day here in the South. It was 63 degrees and sunny. This has been the coolest day we have had since October got here and it made it the perfect day to spend on a pumpkin farm. We visited Twin Oaks Fun Farm in Forsyth for some family time. Twin Oaks is a small working farm that specializes in Strawberry and Pumpkin picking. They have a wonderful playground area, small petting animals, hayrides, pumpkin picking and pumpkin painting and they have the area decorated so cute.

Of course, we had to start our outing on the playground. Shelby loves to climb. Me and my little pumpkin!
Getting ready for the hay ride.
Always, Daddy's little girl!
The perfect sized pumpkins for these little hands. We are going to paint them when we get home!
It was a super fun day. We will share our pumpkin creations when they are finished. Have a great week ahead. I hope you and yours can find a little time outdoors to enjoy this wonderful time of year!

BOO to you!!!

After traveling the last couple of weeks, I finally found a little time in the studio. My SIL Judy and I had fun making this cute BOO sign. I bought the plain wooden letters and we decorated the letters and wired them together. Here is the BOO banner.
I am busy with my friend Annette planning and collecting all of the decorations and treats for our neighborhood Halloween party. Here is a sample of the Adult Goody that we are giving out at the party.
This is a large candy bar that is wrapped in burlap. We then made the top tag and added the ribbon to hold it on to the candy. It is so cute. I will share pictures of all the festivities as they unfold. I hope you are all planning something fun with your little spooks! Tomorrow we are off to the Pumpkin Farm!!

We're Back, We're Broke but Smiling!!

Hi Y'all! We are back from our recent trek to Disney with our friends and neighbors the Rowlands. We had a super time with the girls! I have placed a few photos here from the trip to share the highlights. We booked our trip 7 months ago and it came around fast. We stayed at the All-Star Movies Resort and we were very pleased with the hotel and the accommodations. The price was very good for the rooms but the food and the other items across Disney were just outrageous! We go to Disney at least 2 times a year, but at those prices, we won't be going back for awhile. This trip will have to last for awhile. We had breakfast with the Princesses at Cinderella's Castle. Shelby and Sleeping Beauty!
Annette, Ashlyn and Ansley waiting in line to ride Dumbo! Aren't these Snow White outfits adorable!
My first face painting. I am Tinkerbell!Ashlyn and Shelby looked so cute. They stared at each other for awhile in awe.Shelby's first pair of Mickey ears!We found Nemo!
Annette and I sharing a toast to a great vacation. This was at the Italian pavillion in Epcot. The restaurant was called Tutto Italia and the lasagne was to die for!! The 2 bottles of wine weren't bad either.
Spaceship Earth all aglow. This was our last night in the parks. The Illuminations show was a great way to end our vacation. Many thanks to the Rowland's for sharing their Fall break with us! Bye for now, Mickey. See you next time.

My Beautiful Blogging Buddies!

I have been very behind in sharing some treats with you that I received from some great blogging buddies.
When I returned from Toms River last week, my I Want Candy Collaborative Book Swap had arrived!
Here are some of my favorite pages. What a treasure to add to my studio.
Thanks, Natalea for hosting a very successful and sweet filled swap! She even sent some yummy candy. There was a candy necklace, too but Miss Shelby got to it before I could take the pictures.

The next wonderful lady is Angela from Miss Molly Cottage. Angela lives just a stones throw from me in Macon. She is such a sweet gal and I am so happy that we live near by. She had a giveaway on her blog and I won! She has included such a wonderful array of finds in this cigar box. She was so generous. She even included a pile of wonderful vintage wall paper. There is such a collection of ephemera, old keys, ribbon, buttons, flash cards, etc. I was so excited about adding these things to my collection of crafting goodies.
Thank you, thank you, Angela for this wonderful gift. I look forward to our next visit to B&N for a Starbuck's and a chat over the latest Somerset!
Well, that is enough for now. It is Fall break this week and we are heading out once again to Disney with our friends and neighbors, the Rowlands! I am leaving the studio a mess, but it is currently Halloween and Christmas central. When I return, we will be getting ready to give our first neighborhood Halloween party for the adults and all of their kiddies. Lots to do to get ready.
Will visit you all when I get back.....

Leezy Beezy!

My girl, Lee has been very busy lately. Don't you just love this paper flower brooch? She has created these gorgeous flowers and has added the prettiest rhinestones, tulle and shimmer to them. She will be adding them to our Etsy shoppe as she gets them done. You have to have one for your Fall jackets and sweaters. One is prettier than the next.
Another great thing that is happening for Lee is that several of her creations are going to be featured in a Special Somerset publication this January called Somerset in Love. I am so excited and proud of her. Go check out her blog and read all about it!
Just wanted to brag on about my Best Buddy! She is the best. Couldn't get along without her.
