Thanks, Gal Pals!

Don't you just love this? Who wouldn't? I am such a lucky person to receive such a beautiful gift and to be thought of. Natalea sent me this for her one year blog anniversary. She did such a gorgeous job crafting this mini journal. The millinery flowers are so sweet. I will cherish it always along with her dear friendship.
I am also grateful to be mentioned by her this week in one of her posts for the Arte Y Pico Award. It is "dedicated to many who nourish and enrich the spirit and creavity" as described by it's originator- http://arteypico.blogspot.com/. Thank you Natalea for the kind award. I will fill your request in my next post to list 5 bloggers who inspire me, enrich my spirit and drive my creativity and deserve this award as well!

Many Thanks!!

Another great gal is Karla at Sugar Bear Designs. She has such great style. I had been admiring one of her creations on Etsy for a few weeks and then I had to have it. This is a great collection of pieces that she put together. It is so eclectic, yet so feminine.
It does not show well against this pink shirt, but the time piece and the brooch are both pink! My favorite color. Karla has also added this bracelet with pretty beads to make this chain so unique. I just love it.
Karla even remembered my little one in her package. She sent the cutest crazy straw in the shape of Mickey Mouse. Well, we don't enjoy our juice any more unless it has the Mickey straw. She is just all about that straw. Thanks, Karla.
If you haven't visited Karla, go check out her site and her lovely things on Etsy!

Speaking of little one, we went to the Daylily Festival in town on Saturday and we were in the Teddy Bear Parade. We decorated the wagon and strapped her bears in for a ride around the festival.I think I had more fun decorating the wagon then she did riding in the parade.

The Daylily Festival is a growing arts and crafts gathering each year. This year, I met a fellow crafter and blogger named Angela. Her blog is called Miss Molly Cottage. She had a booth with some cute tussie mussies and a collection of art journals that she made. It was really nice meeting someone who loves this stuff and is local! We are going to try and stay in touch.

My last pic is of a cute pair of earrings that I made for my SIL Judy. Yesterday, we went shopping and she bought the cutest denim dress that has strawberries embroidered around the neckline, trimmed with beads. These go so perfect. She is just the berries, anyway!

Well, we are just 4 days away from my BFF Lee arriving with her band of merry men! Lee and her husband Chris and their 2 boys are coming to visit for a week. Lee and I have been best friends for 20+ years and we get together maybe twice a year, if we are lucky. We have not lived nearby each other since graduating from college. We are so looking forward to stealing a day together to go junking and antiquing and maybe hit a tea room for lunch. I will share the day with you and let you know what goodies we find!

Have a good rest of the week.
Love,
Tammy

I love Natalea's mini books. I am the proud owner of one myself. She is so talented. Thanks for showing the necklace - I'm so happy you like it and that the straw is a hit :) The berry earrings you made are so cute! Perfect for summer.

So happy you treated yourself to the necklace! The "berry earrings" are so cute. Saw the neatest vintage trucks at the antique car "cruise" in downtown TR last evening. Also, a divine, baby blue, 1957 T-Bird Conv. Also, a Shelby Mustang. A car for you and one for Don, too. Wish I could make that dream come true for you.
