A Barrel of Fun!

We had a wonderful time during the Weber's visit. A trip to Georgia however, would not be complete unless you visit a peach orchard. So, we took the kids to Lane's Packing. We started our visit with a tour of the peach and pecan orchards. The kids loved the little trolley car.Lane's packing is a great little place with a gift shop, food store and an excellent cafe where we had lunch. We also enjoyed the homemade peach ice cream and peach cobbler.Our three little peaches:

We had some fun family days, but Lee and I did manage to find a little girl time together. We left in the morning and went to Milledgeville for some Antique shopping and some lunch.

We found quite a few great items and then had some lunch at Tara's Tea Thyme.
Tara's Tea Thyme is a lovely old home in Millidegeville that was converted into this quiet spot for tea goers. We had a fantastic lunch and some uniterrupted conversation.Here is my Buddy, "Leezy Beezy"! She is an amazing friend and fellow Junk Prom Queen!

Here are some pics of the loot I bought when we were out that day. As usual, I was the big spender.I have been looking for a second sewing table for my studio and I finally found this one. It needs some cleaning up, but is perfect for the the Singer machine that my Mother-In-Law has given me to use. It is not the original top, but the drawers and the pedal are terrific. The best part is they got the price wrong and I got it for a steal!A few old colored glass bottles and this metal cake stand which is not really good to use for cake, but will display something pretty.

This wonderful old ledger was a surprise find. It only has a few pages of writing, but it is in excellent shape.I just love this old millinery item. The netting on this is completely intact and the flowers and leaves sewn on this are so pretty. I could just see my own grandmother wearing this to keep her hair in place many years ago. I paid only 2 dollars for this piece of the past.

Another sweet find is this baby slip. The buttons are so tiny on this and the lacy edging is perfect.This great book was not a find that day, but I had ordered two; one for Lee and one for me. They arrived when she was here. The art and pictures are so lovely and they are all inlcuded on CD.

We did get to spend some time crafting together at night once the kids were in bed. We created Lee's new logo for her designs and creations. It is so perfect!Our last addition is our new collaborative Etsy store logo and banner. We have come up with some new ideas for our shop that we will share soon.
