Some Pretty Things to Share...

Over the past couple of weeks I have been collecting some wonderful millinery items and making a few items. I finally have some things that are so pretty I wanted to share them with you.

This started out with a beautiful vintage black beaded ladies glove. All of the goodies on this were hand sewn. I added an antique lace handkerchief, black netting, pink tulle, and a Marie Antoinette card to the inside of the glove. The outside is adorned with a pink velvet cabbage rose, a black crystal brooch outlined in fur and pink velvet ribbon. I also found a gold-tone glove clip that in its day was used to hang on your purse to clip your gloves to. There is a pretty vintage rhinestone button for a ring sewn on. I added a few rhinestones here and there for some glitz. It is hanging in my studio right now, but it will be for sale in our Birds of a Feather Shoppe and our Etsy shop.

More Button Jewelry:

These lovely rhinestone buttons became earrings. They have some pretty brass findings with glass pearls attached. These buttons came out of my own grandmother's tin of buttons that my mother gave to me recently. They are quite old and in wonderful condition.

This next pair is made out of 2 sets of black glass buttons. These were a real find. A friend of my SIL who collects antique jewelry gave me a bag of really old and unique buttons. These unusually shaped buttons were among them as well as the little black bead ones that are dangling.

The etching on the sides made these so pretty.

Go check out our blog at Birds of a Feather and check out what Lee and I have both been up to.

My Studio:I have finally scored this organizing wall unit at Michaels. I had been waiting for my 50% off coupon to apply. I did finally get my 50% off and of course have spent the other half on some of the glass jars and trinkets that I have on it already. Here are some of the sweet finds that I put on it.This sweet girl I found at a local antique shop for $2. She has a bowl like back for keeping little items in.

These are old millinery advertising cards. They are in excellent condition.

Last, but not least are some beautiful millinery flowers and other items. Enjoy looking at these blooms!

Thanks for spending some time with me today. I hope you have a great week and spend some time with some of your own beautiful things.
